I'm going to get up on my soap-box on this one. I'm pretty darn angry.
First off, here is a link to the story in which I am referencing: Chicago Sun Times. Give it a read...I'll wait.Okay, now that you've read it, I'm going on my rampage. What angers me more than anything here is that the radio station in question always verifies your I.D. with prizes over $500 (this happened to me when I won a trip to N.Y. back in 1995 from a radio station to go and see a concert) and she decides to sue the radio station since she's so distraught. Okay, that's great...you're an illegal immigrant who has fled on several occasions before hand fearing INS capture and now you think you're entitled to use the Judicial system that I pay taxes for? How stupid are you, lady? A smart illegal immigrant lays low, stays under the radar, doesn't bring this kind of heat upon themselves. The sense of entitlement here is just appalling to me.The thought process just isn't there in registering the car, putting a tag on the car and paying taxes on the car...how would she do that without any ID or SSN?Ugh.You know, if I were an illegal in another country outside of the U.S. and tried to pull this kind of stunt, I'd be promptly escorted back to the border. It's sad that by simply being in this country (legal or not), you instantly become lawsuit happy.I'm done with this one, I hope they give the car to someone else.~Craig
