I didn't want to leave you folks hanging over who won what at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

As has happened many a time on the track, and on other showfields, Corvettes were 1-2-3 in GM-Powered Sports Cars (Class R) at Pebble Beach.
Class winner was the Scaglietti-bodied 1959 Corvette coupe owned by Cliff Hansen of Zephyr Cove, Nevada.

This year's Pebble Beach Concours had a special GM Motorama display, along with the finest of the world's finest cars. ( (C) 2008 Ron Kimball Studios, courtesy of (and used by permission of) the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. All rights reserved.)

Taking second was the Pininfarina-bodied 1963 Corvette Rondine, owned by Michael Schudroff of Greenwich, Connecticut, with the 1960
LeMans-veteran Corvette from the Briggs Cunningham team (now owned by Bruce Meyer, Beverly Hills, California)  taking third.

They joined EX-122 (seen in the special "Motorama" display) on the 18th fairway at Pebble Beach, seen--and recognized--as the
finest of the finest cars in the world.

How do you top a Motorama? Recreate it with original show cars (like EX-122, seen here) and show models wearing the same colors as when the Motorama played at the Waldorf-Astoria. ( (C) 2008 Ron Kimball Studios, courtesy of--and used by permission of--the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.)
