Call it a gearhead’s supermarket…the world’s largest candy store…or the place where tomorrow’s tech meets the classics of the past…the SEMA Show is where a lot of new-for-2009 products got their introduction.

That includes these items, which restorers and Vette rodders alike will take note of..

New from Energy Suspension--their LS engine mounts with "Hyperflex" urethane

Energy Suspension’s come up with plenty of new engine-mount kits over the years, each featuring long-lasting Hyperflex urethane instead of original-style (and prone to deteriorating) rubber. Their latest mount kit will let you install an LS-series engine into an earlier-model chassis that has smallblock Chevy engine mounts. It comes complete with a heavy-duty conversion plate, all the Hyperflex urethane mounts and attaching hardware needed..

The new LSXr 102 modular intake from FAST

Lightweight intakes don’t just come in cast-metal form anymore. FAST (Fuel Air Spark Technology’s) new LSXr 102 modular intake for LS3/L92 engines is made of an advanced molded polymer composite material, that cuts weight over typical light-alloy intakes. Its modular design makes best use of the 102mm throttle bore for plenty of horsepower and torque over stock.

More must-have hardware from Lokar--their new GM LS engine throttle cable bracket

Lokar made their name by making must-have hardware pieces for street rodders, and their latest product is something for Vette Rodders: their LS1 throttle cable bracket.

This billet aluminum piece mounts to the side of the LS1 intake manifold, and is a small item that makes a big difference, regardless of what earlier-generation Vette you’re plugging that LS1 engine into. It’s available in single-stud form (for throttle cable only), or double stud (for throttle and cruise control cables)

Mast Motorsports' M-90 DBW engine control package

Speaking of swapping a later-model LS-series engine into an early-model Corvette, that goes best if it’s a drop-in, plug-and-play operation, doesn’t it? Especially when you use the M-90 DBW engine control package from Mast Motorsports.

What you get is a main wiring harness, fuse/relay box, MAP/IAT harness, fuel pump controls, electric fan controls, A/C compressor controls, alternator controls, and starter circuit. It’s available with a variety of base calibrations, and the ECM is completely programmable when you use a communications cable and software kit.</span>

It’s the most affordable and capable solution there is to get an LS2, LS3, L92, L76 LY6 engine (new-in-the-crate or used) up and running.
