Wrong.
There’s more to it than just using your right foot. Kevin McKenna’s How To Drag Race (new from Car Tech Books) is a how-to that takes you through the basics of how to drive on the strip, what safety equipment is needed, tire selection front and rear, how to improve your performance, driving and tuning aids, plus there’s chapters on the basics of bracket racing and advanced bracket racing strategy that make this book worth the cover price by themselves. (And that’s before the chapters on the psychology of drag racing and racer math, plus appendices that include a glossary of terms and a track locator!)
If you’ve got the need for speed a quarter-mile at a time, this is the book that you should read first—or next.
