OK, so this auction wasn't one of the big events in Arizona, and it didn't have a showfield of other Vettes in it.

But the hammer's come down, and this Vette Rodded 2005 Corvette sold for...

...just under 35 grand. ($34,900--plus bidders' fees, taxes, and whatever it cost to haul home from a storage garage in Detroit.)

Aftermarket parts like this Procharger, nitrous, and Lambo-style doors (plus the shop labor to install 'em) probably ran higher than the $34,900 high bid

Per the description the Feds (US Marshals Service & GSA, who also provided the pictures) supplied, this '05 had a lot of goodies put on it and more than a little bit of work done to it.

We ask you--was this car a bargain at this price? A steal? Or too much?  You tell us.

Soon after you read this, the '05 Vette Rod seen here will be headed out this door, on its way to its new home.

If you're the high bidder, we'd like you to tell us if you'll be doing any more with it, other than getting it in prime running shape--and replacing the nitrous oxide bottle, which the Feds didn't include with the car.
