1,000HP C5/C6 Corvettes are not uncommon these days but the axles and driveshaft (torque-tube) are just not strong enough to withstand the extra power. That’s why The Driveshaft Shop has developed a 1,000HP driveshaft & axle/hub system for 1997-09 Corvettes.

 Whether you are street driving, racing at the track, or both, this system is up to the task. The driveshaft is constructed from lightweight and ultra strong 3”x .120 6061-T6 aluminum that is precision balanced for vibration-free performance. The axle/hub system features significantly larger than factory 300M chromoly center bars with 30 splines (stock is 28), larger outer CV's with 33 splines into the hub (stock is 30), a bolt-on hub that retains your factory ABS with our larger spline and extended wheel studs. Also available are the new 300M differential spline output shafts and polyurethane driveshaft couplers to really make your Corvette drivetrain withstand as much power as you can make. Also available, for those of you that think the axle/hub system is too much for your needs, the new Level 2 direct bolt-in axles are rated to 600HP.
