Have you ever worried about blowing the stock rear end in your ’53-62 Corvette? Now you have the option of taking it out before you blow it. Jim Meyer has created the ultimate ‘53-62 Corvette rearend kit that fits in the stock location. The new complete Up-Date Kit includes the basic kit plus everything you’ll need, in one order, to drive your ride right out of the garage.
You’ll get a brand new 9-inch housing with Dutchman alloy axles with bearings and seals, Strange 9-inch nodular iron or aluminum thirdmember case with any gears, any size pinion flange, any Posi-unit, Wilwood 12.19-inch rotors and 4-piston calipers (with parking brake), stainless braided brake hoses, a coilover spanner wrench, 7/8-inch diameter formed antisway bar, all Grade-8 fasteners and instructions.
The Up-Date Kit (with some welding required) places the new housing in the original location for a stock appearance under the fenders and retains the stock wheel bolt pattern and retains the driveshaft for an easy installation. The aluminum adjustable coilover shocks and the antisway bar will improve your handling and put more control and more fun back into your driving. Their new kit does not cut-up the original chassis and still allows you to save the stock rear end if needed. For a good look at what it takes to install the Rear End Up-Date Kit and other options, go to www.jimmeyerracing.com and view or down load the installation instructions free and see if you can do this at home.
