Some of you may have heard that I was involved in a motorcycle accident on May 23, 2009. Steering problems caused me to lose control of my Harley and I ended up going off the road. I was thrown clear of the bike and ended up with a broken femur. I am at home recovering and under doctors order to put only touch down weight on the damaged leg for the next three months. I hope to see everyone at the NCM 15th Anniversary celebration in September.
The July 2009 Corvette Fever issue with the Wil Cooksey Collection arrived just in time to raise my spirits. I remember when Alan and Jerry approached me on the idea of doing such article to share with all of my fellow Corvette enthusiasts my private collection of corvettes. We talked about how I became the first Corvette enthusiast to become plant manager of the world famous Corvette plant. I consider myself blessed to have been the fourth plant manager of the Corvette plant. It has been a dream come true complete with impressive quality and customer satisfaction feedback. I have owned many Corvettes over the years and wish I could have kept all of them for my collection. My current collection is my pride and joy. Thanks to everyone for the cards, prayers, phone calls.
