Fall Carlisle Auction to Provide the "Ultimate Buying and Selling Experience" for Collector Car Enthusiasts October 1st and 2nd at the Carlisle Expo Center.
In its fifth year, the 2009 Fall Carlisle Collector Car Auction is shaping up to be the largest and most diverse auction event to date. The Fall Carlisle Auction will once again run simultaneously with the Fall Carlisle Collector Swap Meet and Corral, one of the largest events in the world of its kind, held at the Carlisle, PA Fairgrounds. In addition to the buying and selling opportunities that will be available at the fairgrounds with over 8,100 vending spaces and 1,800 car corral spots, the auction, held Thursday and Friday nights, is expected to exceed expectations in terms of the amount of vehicles that will cross the auction block and the diversity of the cars and trucks available. The over 250 collector vehicles that will be available are truly in tune with the Carlisle Auctions promise of providing auction attendees with the “Ultimate Buying Experience”. Whether buyers are hoping to buy the perfect all-original pre-war American luxury sedan, a classic ‘50s European sports coupe or a perfectly restored example of late ‘60s Detroit muscle, Carlisle Auctions will have them all. In addition to the fantastic variety of cars and trucks, what sets Carlisle Auctions apart is their service. Their goal is to make the auction experience fair, fun and enjoyable for everyone. They make that happen by utilizing a staff with over 100 years of combined experience who will be on-hand all weekend to assist attendees in the buying and selling process. Two returning programs that also set Carlisle Auctions apart are the No Consignment Fee and the Carlisle All-Original Feature. The idea behind the No Consignment Fee offering is simple: if your car does not sell, you don’t have to pay a consignment fee. The All-Original Feature will present vehicles that are at or very close to their original showroom condition. These rare time capsules are always at the center of the crowd’s attention. New to this year’s Fall Carlisle Auction will be the Corvette Feature. Both Thursday and Friday night auctions will feature run sections with beautiful examples of America’s Sports Car – the Corvette.
Many of the highlight consignments that will be seen at the Fall Carlisle Auction come from the collection of Mike Leith of Carolina Classics. Carolina Classics is host to the Raleigh Classic event, which will next be held December 4th and 5th, at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, NC. For more information, to register as a bidder and to view the current consignment list, visit www.CarlisleAuctions.com or call Dennis Baish, Carlisle Auction Manager, at (717) 243-7855 ext.167. Carlisle Events, host of 10 annual collector car, truck and motorcycle events, attracts more than half a million people to its 100-acre fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania each year. Included in the annual events schedule are two huge automotive swap meets and auctions – in the spring and fall – and individual specialty shows featuring Corvettes, Fords, GMs, Chryslers, trucks, motorcycles, sport compacts and imports. Founded in 1974 by friends Bill Miller and Chip Miller, the “Cars at Carlisle” shows attract automotive enthusiasts from around the world.
