Coming Distractions: When one '68 Corvette isn't enough!

1968 Corvette, One of a perfect pair (in the owners' eyes)

Is one Corvette enough for you?

We thought so...and that's why you'll enjoy the story behind Terry and Kathy Smith's L68-powered Shark...only in December's Corvette Fever.

It's "HS68VET"...to go along with her '68 Vette!

When Terry and Kathy Smith had their L79-powered '68 Vette picked for the "Funfest 50" at Mid America Motorworks' Corvette Funfest back in '03, they were slotted in the display between two other Vettes (a '67 and a '69)...but they weren't smallblocks!

No, that's not the solid lifter L71 427...it's the hydraulic-lifter L68, with the K19 A.I.R. pump on it.

That led the Smiths to look for a 427-powered '68...this Safari Yellow L68-powered one.  December's Corvette Fever not only has the low-down on this first-year Shark...it's also the cover car!

See if you can find the only 2 non-'68 items in the Smith's '68s cabin. (HINT: Look near the brake handle.)

Also inside: The Great Project C4orce Cover Up....Jeff Bernhhardt's final installment in his "Reconsidering Your Line In The Sand" series about how you can really enjoy your Vette....and lots more...in December's Corvette Fever, on newsstands NOW!
