The Volant Corvette Cool Air Intake™ system #15870 gathers air from two locations; below the vehicle’s fan shroud and behind the fog lamps. The large cold air box holds more air volume than the factory unit, to give the engine immediate throttle response when called for. In addition, Volant’s Corvette air intake system incorporates the company’s 5-layer, Pro-5 cotton/gauze filter element that gives extra filtration protection while providing increased airflow.
 
Volant’s Corvette intake is made from high strength, X-link polyethylene plastic that gives the intake a factory OEM appearance and allows for increased air velocity from smooth bends and a tapered design that can’t be achieved with metal intake tubes. In addition, Volant uses high-grade silicone sleeves and stainless steel clamps that endure a secure fit and eliminate distortion from long-term exposure to engine heat.
