Show Vettes at SEMA, Part 1

SEMA, Corvette

These Vettes were pictured on their way into this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, or in the hall during the show...and come 4 p.m. (Pacific) Friday afternoon, they'll be on their way out!

Flamed, finned, bubble-topped...this started out as a '74 Vette convertible.

We'll start with this way-out '74 Corvette custom, seen here on its way in. Our guess is that this car was beyond a basket case when they started...maybe nothing more than a VIN, a birdcage, and a wild dream. Back in the day, bubbletops were formed using old pizza ovens...wonder if that's what they used to make this one?

Color scheme on purpose.

Here's a later-generation Vette with a "different" color scheme...on purpose, no doubt. This was in Classic Design Concepts' booth, and the colors help show off each of the body panels they offer for the C6.

Up next: A couple of current-model Vettes of interest...that you'll have to wait  for, until our next posting here.

So what if you're now on an hour earlier? You still gotta wait for 'em!

That means you, too!
