Coming Distractions: From Our "Top Shelf" To Your Bookshelf

Corvette-related books, must-reads

Yeah, so there are a few books about steel-bodied Chevys on the "Top Shelf" in January's Corvette Fever. But they're by someone you know very well!

Alan Colvin's "By The Numbers" resto guides now includes a Corvette volume.

These five "By The Numbers" books are the last word on Chevrolet restoratiin reference info, and only January's Corvette Fever tells you why. (HINT: The same kind of work that our Alan Colvin puts into CF each month resulted in these goldmines of parts-ID info, casting-code decipherings, and year-by-year changes.) Also on the Shelf: a treasure trove of how-to books covering building smallblock V8s, building/swapping overdrive automatics, and how-to books on supercharging for the street and nitrous-oxide injection.

That's along with a cover feature on "Jake's" favorite Vette (& why this one was a prototype), "The Joy of Six" (Cylinders, that is), plus tech features, columns, readers' Vettes and more...in January's Corvette Fever...on newsstands NOW!
