Mid America Motorworks recently announced the display of the Austin Powers 1965 Corvette Roadster on loan from a private collection to the MY Garage Museum. The Austin Powers 1965 Corvette Roadster features a Red, White and Blue in American Flag design and New Line Cinema’s sold the Corvette for $121,000 at auction.
The unique Corvette arrived in time to display during Corvette Funfest 2009, in September and will remain on display until spring 2010. “We are pleased to display Felicity Shagwell’s 1965 Corvette Roadster from the Austin Powers 1999 movie, “The Spy who Shagged Me” with Mike Myers. It’s a beauty and is a prime example of the American Sports Car in a movie role”, states Mike Yager, Chief Cheerleader of Mid America Motorworks. The MY Garage Museum contains a collection of specialty Corvettes and VWs from the MikeYager collection. Other movie cars in this collection are Death Race 2000, Spinning Herbie and Shaking Herbie from the Disney movies. Other Corvettes include CERV1, 1964 World’s Fair Corvette, 1969 L-88 Race Corvette, 1988 and 1989 Corvette Challenge Series Corvette and many others.
